Derwent House Surgery

The doctor I saw today listened to me and was very good discussing my troubles he has organised an x ray and physio. I am happy with host of my attention at the surgery one particular doctor the nurses and pharmacy and reception. My only grumble is your appointment service is shocking and could be improved.

I would like to complain about the waiting time for an appointment to see a GP. I have tried twice this month to make an appointment. The first time I was told time earliest appointment was in 3 weeks time; the second time, the appointment was 2 weeks from the date I called. I was prepared to take any time and to see any GP.

My daughter is due her 8 week immunisations ( she is currently 9 weeks old). We have not been sent the letter inviting her for an appointment. I have called a number of times over the past few weeks to chase this up and have been told a different story each time by the receptionists about why the letter has not been sent. I have now been told that the letter will be sent by the end of the week. If it was that simple why was this not done weeks ago when I first called?! This will now be clashing with her 12 week immunisations no doubt, will her whole immunisation programme be behind schedule now?! Have felt like I was an inconvenience for chasing this, but I am not confident that anything would have happened if I hadn't. (although still no appointment so I shouldn't count my chickens!!!!)
